A Space Where Everything Belongs

Somatic & mindfulness-based coaching to restore steadiness, aliveness, and belonging — especially for those who’ve learned to stay safe by managing, striving, or holding back.

The Landscape We Begin With

Dry mouth. Tingling on the palate and tongue. A hum of worry — the tight chest, the contracted throat, the scattered mind, the incessant self-checking.

The longing to be somewhere else, someone else.

Taking action, listening, supporting — again and again. The feeling of never-ending. Tense. Exhausted. Lashing out. Then the guilt, the fear of what it could cost.

Oscillating between defensiveness and apology, trying to make it right.

Longing to feel safe, not knowing how. Forcing oneself to ground, to move, to be compassionate. A circle of effort, frustration, exhaustion — again.

All of this belongs. The grasping, the aversion, the confusion—all of it belongs. When we see and allow what’s here — breath by breath, sensation by sensation; through tears, movement, and dialogue — a new way of living becomes possible.

This is the truth of our lived experience. From here, the work begins.

Coaching with me is an invitation to slow down.
For those who’ve learned to hold a lot — in your bodies, minds, or relationships — this is where we begin.

To listen to what your body is saying.

Together, we practice curiosity,
trust the wisdom of your body,
and honor your perspective —
with radical acceptance, fierce compassion,
and movement toward something new.

This is what the work feels like, and who I tend to work with.

Somatic coaching, as I practice it, brings awareness back to the body — to breath, gesture, posture, and sensation.

Through presence and movement, we begin to listen to life as it unfolds through us.

This isn’t about fixing or analysing, but about learning to stay with what’s here, allowing new possibilities to emerge naturally.

My work — and my path — is a practice of fearless, embodied presence, offered in the spirit of loving-kindness, diversity, and wholeness.

Many of us have learned to live in between  between cultures, between expectations, between the parts of ourselves that feel safe and the ones that feel alive. Some parts we’ve sent away just to belong. In our work, everything belongs.

I support people who’ve learned to protect themselves through control, effort, or withdrawal — to reconnect with their natural sense of aliveness and belonging.

Path of Belonging

My path to this work has been as diverse as the people I serve.

I’m Evelyn. I was born in Sweden to Chinese parents from India, and I have always carried different worlds within me. Over time, this has become a path of belonging — bridging cultures, weaving together body and mind, and meeting both self and other with presence.

My journey has taken me through years of international work with the United Nations — in Rome, Khartoum, and Yangon — and through practices that opened another way of being: Vipassana meditation, Ashtanga yoga, and the slow, steady art of listening.

Motherhood brought new questions and new beginnings. I turned toward studies in yoga, psychology, and coaching, and as I deepened the path, I discovered somatic practice as the place where it all comes together — body, mind, awareness, and our longing for connection.

For me, somatic coaching is a way of listening to life as it moves through the body — learning to recognize the patterns that hold us, and the movements that set us free. It’s a practice of presence, compassion, and curiosity — allowing what we sense to guide what we choose.

Today, honoring the value of embodiment, I train as a Gestalt psychotherapist and continue to deepen my meditation practice.

Much of my life has unfolded between worlds — cultures, languages, expectations. I know the subtle ways we adapt to belong, and how, over time, that belonging can cost us aliveness. My work is rooted in remembering inner steadiness — the felt sense that we can be fully ourselves and still connected.

I trust that when we meet what is present together, something larger becomes possible. Even amidst suffering, I trust the beauty, creativity, and joy that can emerge when we slow down and truly listen.

This path — a path of belonging — is a continuing practice of allowing what’s here to belong.

Through our work, clients often discover their own compassion and vitality — a quieter strength that lets them stay connected without abandoning themselves.

What Clients Experience

Clients describe our sessions as safe, spacious, and quietly transformative.

They often come feeling tense, overextended, or uncertain — and leave with a sense of calm, clarity, and renewed trust in themselves.

In our sessions, awareness naturally returns to the body — to breath, posture, gesture, and the subtle ways emotion moves through us.
As we stay with what’s present, understanding begins to take form through sensation rather than thought.
Over time, this shared practice deepens the capacity to pause, sense, and respond with compassion — both in coaching and in daily life.

Many speak of feeling more grounded, confident, and alive — able to meet life’s changes with a steadiness that feels natural rather than forced.

In our work together, you can expect to:

  • feel seen and deeply listened to — without judgment or fixing

  • rediscover calm and balance through embodied awareness

  • clarify what truly matters and how you want to move forward

  • cultivate confidence that arises from inner steadiness, not striving

  • integrate simple somatic practices you can draw on in everyday moments

  • experience shifts in how you relate, lead, and live — with more ease and authenticity

And while each person’s journey is unique, this is what the work often feels like in lived experience...

Client Reflections

Here are a few words from those I’ve had the privilege to walk alongside...

“Evelyn creates such a safe and compassionate space to explore what’s hard. She listens deeply and reflects back the most important insights, offering practices that help you not just think differently, but be differently.”

“Through her questions and insight, I found clarity, confidence, and a gentler way of being with myself.”

“Working with Evelyn brought a calm focus into my life. I feel less anxious, more confident, and more connected to what truly matters.”

“Sometimes I felt like I was meandering and rambling with no clear direction… It wasn't until at the very end that I realised that is exactly how it was meant to be: we went on a ramble without a map, and I was leading the way while you were there to help and support when I felt lost or frustrated. The declaration was the destination and we felt our way together towards it. What a beautiful journey!”

Embodied Experiences

“When the coach guided me to forgive and thank parts of my body, I felt a sadness slip through me. After that, I became lighter and more balanced.”

"I have been able to name my emotions and express them — definitely more self-compassion and acceptance, being more emotionally aware, more open to others.”

“I often felt energised and flowy after the sessions. There were sessions that I began with lots of sadness, which felt like a heaviness in my chest. By the end of the session I usually felt lighter as there was more space to breathe.”

“At the end of most sessions I felt notably more open and relaxed than I had done before starting the session. The sessions increased my awareness of my body's habitual responses and holding positions. One of the sessions led to a realisation of a somatic pattern which was followed by an incredible week-long  unfolding  release.”

Across these experiences, clients describe not just insight, but a growing compassion toward themselves and their own bodies — a softening that allows more breath, movement, and life to flow, within them and into the relationships and worlds they touch.
